About the Session

The session is a movement-based method of learning called Functional Integration® for private Feldenkrais sessions. Gentle touch provides most of the guidance during private sessions. Yuka Iwamoto is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (GCFP), authorized by the Feldenkrais Guild of North America. Based on the findings of the initial session, Yuka will determine the best course of action for your session.

Yuka may work with areas of the body other than the specific site of injury or pain. If you experience discomfort, please inform her immediately. This is your responsibility because your comfort is essential for learning more optimal ways of moving and for the overall success of your sessions.

Scheduling Policy

As a courtesy, and to help you remember your scheduled appointments, Awareness Through Life sends an email reminder 48 hours and a text message 23 hours (if chosen) in advance of the appointment time.

Rescheduling / Cancellation Policy

If your schedule changes and you cannot keep your appointment, please contact Yuka Iwamoto as soon as possible so she may reschedule you and accommodate clients who are waiting for an appointment.

No-Show Policy

If you do not cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice, a charge of 50% of the service amount will be incurred on your credit card.

Please initial each statement below if you agree:

_____ I understand the scheduling/no-show policy of Awareness Through Life and agree to provide a credit card number, which may be charged 50% of the service amount for any no-show of a scheduled appointment.

_____ I understand that I must cancel or reschedule any appointment at least 24 hours in advance in order to avoid a potential no-show charge to the credit card provided.

Payment Options

Payments are processed by Hasu Somatics LLC, doing business as Awareness Through Life. You may pay online or at the end of the session using cash, check, credit card, or Zelle.

If you schedule online, you must enter your credit card to reserve your time, but the scheduling page offers three options: pay when scheduling, pay later, or pay at the session.

Session Expiration Date

Your purchased session or package will be valid for 3 months from the date of payment.

Refund Policy

If you cancel 24 hours before your first scheduled session, a full refund will be issued. You will receive the refund receipt email within 48 hours, and it may take 9–14 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card.

  • No refunds will be available after you have completed the first session.

  • No partial refunds will be issued for sessions missed by the client for any reason.

Sessions canceled 24 hours before your scheduled session or due to inclement weather, poor internet connection, or practitioner illness will either be rescheduled or a prorated refund will be issued for that session.
